Fishing charters

High up on the must-do events are our fishing charters. Deep sea fishing is an addiction for countless anglers. Understandably so. At times, our charters could have come straight from the pages of Hemingway’s Old Man and the Sea, with screaming reels, plenty big fish and the lure of the endless ocean. There’s no telling what fish you’ll hook and the suspense is always palpable. Will it be a Blue Marlin, Dorado or Sailfish?

Our boats come with all the gear and a highly experienced captain. Apart from that, there’s the camaraderie on board – which is priceless.

Diving

But maybe you’re for plumbing the depths. We have that too. The Scuba Centre is a PADI five-star Gold Palm instructor development centre. Diving is done year-round – whatever the season. And every level of diver is welcome to join. The proof is in the rave reviews we’ve garnered over the years.

Watch the whales

From July to November, we offer Whale Watcher tours. Checking out these giants of the deep is an experience you wouldn’t want to miss. You’re bound to snap some once-in-a-lifetime vacation photos too. Don’t worry, because as  the only licensed whale-watching operation in the Sodwana Bay waters, we ensure minimum intrusion on the whales. The permit also allows us to come to within a 300-meter radius.

Check our turtles

Another experience for your bucket list is our Turtle Tours from November to March. This is when you can see the leatherback and loggerhead turtles nest and then the big drama when the eggs hatch along our 16-km shore line.

Other activities

We also offer birding tours and believe me, the list of birds to spot in the Sodwana area is extensive. What’s more, surfers can surf and kiteboarders can have a ball skimming the waves, standup paddleboarders can have a blast and swimming in the warm Indian ocean is heaven on earth.
