Sodwana Bay Lodge Fishing Charters

Whether you're new to fishing or a seasoned fisherman, Magnum Fishing Charters is your ticket to a memorable experience.

Our boat launches from Sodwana Bay Beach and we currently use the 19-meter WHALE WATCHER boat which is registered for 7 anglers and a skipper. It's fully equipped for Marlin and Big Game Fishing. .

Please note: the fee per day is irrespective of the number of anglers on board.

Equipment

  • Shimano 25 TLD for Game Fishing
  • Shimano 80w Tiagra for Marlin Fishing

Deep-sea Trolling

  • For Marlin fishing – November to May (Black Marlin, Blue Marlin and Striped Marlin)
  • For Game fishing – November to March – Dorado
  • All-year round – Sailfish, King Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna and other game fish species

Please note that anglers should have the compulsory fishing permit. You can purchase this online at  https://www.fishing.dffe.gov.za.

WHALE WATCHER ~  a 19-meter boat which is fully equipped for Marlin and Big Game Fishing. Registered for 7 anglers and a skipper. Cost is R10 000 per day, irrespective of whether there are fewer anglers.
